South Wharf warehouse bid fails

Ringsend plant - Court rejects change
Ringsend plant - Court rejects change

Shares in South Wharf, the company left after the Ardagh glass business was demerged and taken private, plunged in Dublin today after the High Court ruled against it in a case involving the Dublin Port Company.

South Wharf took action against Dublin Port's refusal to allow it to use the former glass making plant at Ringsend in Dublin for warehousing.

In a statement to the stock exchange, the company said it would continue its glass related activities, which include processing and packaging, at the plant. It also said the board would consider in detail the implications of the court's decision and communicate with shareholders in due course.

The shares closed down 35 cent at €2.65 in Dublin.
