Inflation in Germany, the euro zone's biggest economy, slowed this month as energy prices eased from the highs seen in October, final data showed today.
The German consumer price index (CPI) fell by 0.4% in November from the figure from October, but was 1.8% higher than it had been in November 2003, the federal statistics office, Destatis, said in a statement. The 12-month rate of inflation was therefore slower than the 2% recorded in October.
The final CPI data confirmed a preliminary estimate released at the end of last month.
