More lay-offs have taken place today in the Irish Ferries dispute.
A total of 650 staff, nearly half the workforce, have now been laid off as strike action continues by ships' officers over the company's intention to contract out manning of the Normandy on the Rosslare-France route.
No moves have been made to settle the dispute and it appears no new contacts have been made between SIPTU and company management.
