Figures from the Central Statistics Office show that there was a sharp drop in the number of people on the Live Register last month.
The headline figure fell by 3,510 from October to 151,966, while the seasonally adjusted figure showed a drop of 3,500 to 158,600. The unemployment rate fell to 4.3% from 4.4% in October.
Seven of the eight regions recorded falls in the numbers signing on, with the largest drop of 3.6% in the Dublin region. There was an increase of 0.5% in the South-West region.
The number of people on the Live Register was 12,575 lower than in November last year.
