The number of managerial jobs advertised in the third quarter of this year was up 18% compared with the previous quarter, according to the Irish Management Institute.
The IMI Management Recruitment Index shows that the biggest increases were in the construction, engineering and energy sectors.
The 1,986 positions advertised represented the highest number since the survey began in the final quarter of 2003. 73% of these were in the private sector.
General management, services and sales/marketing management positions accounted for more than half of the positions advertised.
