Man Utd talks - Sources say no deal reached

Takeover talks between Manchester United's two key Irish investors and US sports tycoon Malcolm Glazer are expected to be called off later today, sources close to the process said.

Glazer has been in talks with racing tycoons John Magnier and JP McManus to buy their 28.9% stake in the world's richest soccer club, but the two sides have not been able to reach agreement over a deal, the sources said.

An announcement from Manchester United is likely to come later this evening, one of the sources said.

The English soccer club have not named their suitor, but sources close to the matter said the bidder was Glazer, a 19% shareholder and owner of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers American football team.
