House builder Abbey told shareholders at its AGM in Dublin today that trading in the early months of its new year had been good.
Abbey Chairman Charles Gallagher said that the company's new homes have continued to sell well in both Ireland and England, though he added that the English market in recent weeks had slowed.
He said that conditions in Ireland are 'robust'. He told the AGM that Abbey's new scheme in Athboy, Co Meath was very well received and its next major Irish launch will be in Baldoyle in Dublin 13 early next year.
'Overall the group is in a strong position and prospects are good,' he said.
