Clothing chain awear has announced its commitment to expanding its presence in Cork with a €1m investment plan. This investment will include a new retail store in Mahon, as well as the redevelopment of its store in the Wilton shopping centre in the city.
The new Mahon store will create 15 new jobs in the Cork area. Awear currently has 21 stores in Ireland.
'Our business continues to perform strongly in an increasingly competitive market', commented Alan Carroll, Director of Operations at the retail chain.
'Our strategy has been to aggressively take on our competitors by increasing our number of new stores, and also by ensuring our existing stores provide the ultimate shopping experience for our customers,' he said.
