Seasonally adjusted figures from the Central Statistics Office show that the volume of industrial production in the three months to July was 0.3% lower compared with the previous three months.
But for July, the volume of production was 9.9% higher than in the same month last year. This was the biggest annual rise since December last year.
Separate CSO figures showed that the number of people working in the construction industry in July was up 4.3% on the same month last year.
