Report criticises 19 NIB executives

Adverse comment to a greater or lesser extent has been made against 19 NIB executives in relation to knowledge and responsibility of improper practices at the bank.

They include former chief executive Jim Lacey, former executive director Barry Seymour, former chief operating officer Philip Halpin, former general manager of retail banking Frank Brennan, former head of audit Paul Harte, former head of financial, advice and services division Nigel D'Arcy, Beverly Flynn, a former financial services manager with the bank as well as five other former financial services managers.

The report also makes adverse comment against the country's largest firm of accountants KPMG as well as the NIB audit committee and other former executives.
