Jurys Doyle and the GAA have announced plans for a new 4-star hotel at Croke Park in Dublin.

The hotel, to be called the Jurys Croke Park Hotel, will cost €30m and will operate on a 34-year lease from the GAA.

The 232-bedroom hotel, to be located on Jones's Road, is expected to open in late Summer 2005. There will be a car park in the basement.

Jurys Doyle chief executive Pat McCann said the hotel would benefit from its 'instantly identifiable address' and from the large number of GAA supporters travelling to watch games at the stadium.

GAA president Sean Kelly said the hotel would be a catalyst for the regeneration of Dublin's north inner city and a boost to Dublin tourism.
