Britain's biggest airport operator, BAA announced today a 7% rise in June passenger traffic from the same month a year ago, as the travel sector continues to recover from last year's slump.
BAA, whose airports include Heathrow and Gatwick, said it carried 12.8 million passengers last month.
The airline and travel sector is fighting back from last year's drop in passenger numbers following the Iraq war, SARS virus and a global economic downturn.
