A new energy supply company launched today says it has ambitions to be one of the leading players in the deregulated Irish energy sector.
Vayu will initially focus on supplying natural gas to large industrial and commercial customers.
Vayu was licensed by the Commission for Energy Regulation in December and says it has secured nine customers, representing 5.25% of the large industrial and commercial market.
The company says its existing customer base would result in revenue of over €4.2m for this year.
The Irish gas market opens up further to 16,000 small business customers in July.
Vayu is working with a UK trading partner - Entergy Koch Trading Europe.
