Betting group Victor Chandler has unveiled plans to move into the Irish market.
It has launched an Irish online service www.victorchandler.ie, with bets aimed at the Irish market, and also plans to open a shop in Dublin.
The company says it will be increasing its presence at Irish sporting events over the coming months, including sponsoring cards at the Naas and Fairyhouse race meetings this month.
Ian Marmion, head of Victor Chandler Ireland, said the company planned to roll out its operations nationwide.
The group was formed in London, but moved its entire account operation to Gibraltar in 1999.
