Bank of Ireland is to sell its 50% shareholding in payment processing company EuroConex Technologies to a European affiliate of NOVA Information Systems for €40m. NOVA, which currently owns the other 50% of the company, is a subsidiary of Bancorp.

The deal is conditional on regulatory approval but should be completed by June 30.

Bank of Ireland said the disposal will be shown as an exceptional item in its results for the six months to the end of September.
