The chairman of hotel group Jurys Doyle has told shareholders that an improvement in trading seen in the second half of 2003 has continued in the early months of this year.
Richard Hooper told the company's AGM that trading in the UK and US had been particularly encouraging.
But he warned that there had been no significant improvement in the company's four and five star hotels in Ireland, and that this was holding back the group's performance.
Shares in the hotel group closed five cent lower at €10.35 in Dublin this evening.
