Business caterer Eurest has secured the contract to provide the catering services at Dublin Zoo in a deal worth €10m over five years. Eurest will provide onsite food and catering services to Dublin Zoo and was awarded the deal after a tendering process.
Among the facilities which Eurest will operate are a new 325 seater restaurant, which will open later this year. It will also offer a Trattoria, serving pizzas and pasta, and WorldMarche, which will serve foods from around the world. Other options will include a pancake house and a picnic shop.
Eurest is the main operating subsidiary within Compass Group, the leading global foodservice organisation. Eurest employs over 1,500 people in Ireland in 160 locations throughout the country.
Compass already operates at 11 zoos around the world, including London, Chicago and Toronto.
