Another new arrival for Knock from bmibaby

Bmi baby has announced that it will operate daily direct services between Knock airport and Nottingham East Midlands airport from April 30.

The airline is also due to start a new route from Knock to Manchester at the end of the month.

'The traditional footprints that exist between Ireland and the UK can only be enhanced by the introduction of this new bmi baby route which will serve the cities of Nottingham, Derby, Leicester and Sheffield, all of which have large Irish and second generation Irish communities,' said Liam Scollan, Knock airport's CEO.

He predicts the new routes will bring an additional 150,000 passengers a year to and from the Knock region.
