Contech Medical is to expand its Irish operation as it announced the creation of another 80 jobs for its Galway plant.
This will bring total employment there to 118 people when the jobs are fully implemented within four years. It is planned to have 40 of the new jobs filled by the middle of the year.
Contech Medical is a medical device manufacturing and packaging company and the expansion of its Irish operations is the result of out-sourcing business from both new and existing customers in Europe and the US.
The expansion, with the support of IDA Ireland, will see Contech's 15,00 sq ft facility at Parkmore Business Park West in Galway increased to 35,000 sq ft.
