Irish companies need to be more creative in identifying funding opportunities when developing their company growth plans, delegates at a First Tuesday meeting will hear tonight.
'I believe Irish companies need to be focussed in investigating all avenues of funding and maximise all existing relationships and partnerships,' Enda Kyne, Executive Vice President of international mobile payments company Agile says.
'To date Irish companies have tended just to look at traditional forms of funding such as seed capital and traditional venture capital funding rounds and don't look at other potentially fruitful routes,' he adds.
He believes that Irish companies sometimes have a tendency to sell themselves short and to be less assertive than their international counterparts.
