Four new Ulster Bank directors named

Ulster Bank has appointed four new non-executive directors following its parent Royal Bank of Scotland's acquisition of First Active earlier this year.

The new directors are: accountant Trevor Bowen; Glanbia non-executive director John Callaghan; Lucy Gaffney, formerly of Esat Telecom; and Eileen Gleeson, chairman of public relations company Weber Shandwick FCC and special adviser to President McAleese.

Former First Active chief Cormac McCarthy will be chief executive of the enlarged Ulster Bank operation.
