Budget airline EasyJet has reported a 12.3% rise in January passenger traffic, saying it was 'cautiously optimistic' about the outlook.
The British carrier said it carried just under 1.7 million passengers last month, up from 1.5 million in the same month a year ago. Its seat load factor - a measure of how full its planes are - was steady at 77%.
Earlier this week rival Ryanair reported that it carried just over 1.7 million passengers in January, but its load factor dropped to 71%.
