SIPTU has called off its planned two hour strike at Dublin, Cork and Shannon airports tomorrow morning.
The stoppage had been planned in a dispute over a decision by the Minister for Transport Seamus Brennan to break up the airports authority, Aer Rianta.
The president of SIPTU, Jack O'Connor, said the union had decided unanimously at a lengthy meeting to call off the action. He said the union remained sceptical about what might come out of the talks process, but was prepared - within what he said would be in a reasonable time frame - to engage with the Department on the basis of the commitment received from the Minister and the Taoiseach.
