Aer Arann to fly to Birmingham

Aer Arann has announced that it is to offer a new service between Galway and Birmingham from May. The new route will be added to the services to London, Manchester and Edinburgh that the airline already provides from Galway.

"Birmingham is an obvious new destination from Galway," said Padraig O'Ceidigh, managing director of Aer Arann.

Aer Arann carried more than 135,000 passengers through Galway Airport during 2003. The company has a turnover in excess of €60m and employs 270 staff.
