Bmibaby, a subsidiary of British airline BMI, is to begin direct services between Knock Airport and Manchester from March 28.
The new daily service, including weekends, will operate in the early mornings. Internet fares start at €28.50 one-way, including taxes.
Liam Scollan, the airport's chief executive, described the news as a 'wonderful development' for Knock as well as for Connacht and the BMW region.
