Knock Airport in County Mayo has announced that 2003 was its best year, with a 25% increase in passenger numbers and a significant jump in employment.
For the first time the airport catered for just over 250,000 passengers - a jump from the year's figure of 199,000.
Employment at the airport has increased from 56 to 95 and turnover reached €5.1m.
Airport chief executive Liam Scollan said the airport was delighted with the significant increase in business and the rapid expansion of air services to overseas destinations.
