Aer Rianta unions seek clarification

The group of unions at Aer Rianta is meeting to consider its next move in its campaign of opposition to plans by the Minister for Transport, Seamus Brennan, to break up the company.

Union sources said they were extremely disappointed at the outcome of Wednesday's talks with department officials regarding pay and conditions of employment for staff after the break-up.

Unions are expecting clarification from the department on a number of points. SIPTU also held lunchtime meetings at Dublin and Shannon airports to brief members on the situation.
