Marks & Spencer has confirmed that it will open its fifth store in the Republic in Dublin's Blanchardstown Shopping Centre later this year.
The new 39,500 square feet store will be the anchor tenant in an extension of the centre currently being developed by Green Property.
It is part of a €60m investment programme which also includes a new store in Dundrum in south Dublin in Spring 2005. Three Simply Food stores have also been opened as part of the plan - in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin and Naas. Marks & Spencer is invest €14m in the new Blanchardstown store.
Neil Hyslop of Marks & Spencer Ireland said the company had been looking for an outlet on the northside of Dublin for some time and Blanchardstown met all of the criteria.
