The Office of Public Works has placed notices in today's newspapers seeking proposals for the supply of office space in 52 different locations around the country.
This is to help prepare for the Government's decentralisation of departments and agencies from Dublin. The largest offices specified in the list are for 12,100 square metres in Portlaoise, which is earmarked for the Department of Agriculture & Food and 8,600 in Cavan, the new headquarters of the Department of Communications, Marine & Natural Resources.
'The practicality of any car parking proposal' is one of the criteria for any submission to the OPW.
