Island Expro has been granted a new exploration licensing option in the Celtic Sea.
Island will operate the Old Head of Kinsale area with a 65% stake in the licence. The remainder is held by Celtex Exploration Services, Carob and Bexley Investments.
The newly licensed part-blocks lie east of the area which includes the Kinsale Head and Ballycotton gas fields.
The founding directors of Island Expro Limited are Paul Griffiths, Vivian Caston and Jack McKinney. Griffiths and Caston have previously been involved in the Seven Heads project.
