Insignia Richard Ellis Gunne has this morning started trading as CB Richard Ellis Gunne with the completion of its partnership deal following the takeover of the Insignia Group by CB Richard Ellis for a sum estimated to be in the region of $450m.
Insignia had acquired a shareholding in the commercial business of the Gunne Group in 2000, whilst CB had a long standing License Agreement with Hamilton Osborne King.
Pat Gunne, managing director of the Irish business said: 'By being part of CB Richard Ellis, we are well placed to double the size of our business over the next three years.'
He said this would be achieved by expanding the firm's workforce in the areas of international business and growing market share in existing business lines.
He said: 'We aim to acquire in excess of €2.5 billion in overseas property assets on behalf of Irish investors over the next five years.'
