The business climate in Germany warmed again in August, offering another signal for a coming recovery in the euro zone's biggest economy.
Data released today from economics research institute Ifo showed that companies felt not only more confident about the future, but also better about their current situation.
The business climate index rose to 90.8 points in August from 89.3 points in July. The index is now at its highest level since the middle of last year.
Ifo president Hans-Werner Sinn said, 'Unlike in previous months, the improvement is not restricted to companies' outlook for the next six months, but also to their assessment of their current situation.'
