Manor Park buys Haughey house

Abbeville, the residence of former Taoiseach Charles Haughey, has been sold to property company Manor Park Homes.

Manor Park confirmed in a statement that it had bought the house and the surrounding 235 acres in Kinsealy North County Dublin, but no price for the deal was disclosed.

Earlier this year Mr Haughey agreed to pay €5m to the Revenue to settle outstanding tax liabilities.

Manor Park Homes is 51% owned by businessman Joe Moran. The other 49% is owned by DCC, a company listed on the Irish stock exchange.
