Construction firm Readymix has announced that Joe Doyle has been appointed managing director designate of the firm.
Doyle will assume the position of managing director on January 1st next year when the current managing director, John McNerney, retires from the position.
Company chairman Martin Rafferty paid tribute to McNerney's performance and added, 'As a company we are very fortunate to have someone of the calibre of Joe Doyle to take over the role when the time comes and I am delighted to be able to endorse Joe's appointment as managing director designate.'
McNerney was invited to remain on the Board of Readymix for a period, following his retirement as Managing Director.
Joe Doyle currently holds the position of divisional managing director in Readymix, and is responsible for the businesses in Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the group's concrete flooring business based at Wells, in Somerset.
