BWG Foods has bought Galway-based Tolan Distribution Limited, which trades as Tolan Foodservice, for an undisclosed amount.
Tolan Foodservice, which was established in 1996, has an annual turnover of over €20m and specialises in the distribution of ambient, chilled, fresh and frozen groceries to the food service sector.
It currently employs 49 staff. The present management team and staff will stay on.
BWG Foods is owned by BWG Group, which also operates the Spar and Mace franchises in the Republic.
