Jurys Doyle officially opened its 274-bedroom Inn in Newcastle today. This latest addition brings to 12 the number of Inns operated by the hotel group, with a further five properties currently under development.
Jurys Inn Newcastle is part of a major redevelopment project undertaken in the UK city, which includes offices, apartments and an open plaza.
Jurys Chairman Richard Hooper says the company believes there is exceptional opportunity to develop additional Inns throughout the UK. 'Their robust performance to date shows the attractiveness of the product which is tailored to the business and leisure traveler seeking high standards at affordable prices,' he said.
By the end of 2004, he said the group's total bedroom count will rise to 7,700 with the completion of new Inns in Dublin, Heathrow, Glasgow, Leeds, Chelsea and a new hotel in Boston.
