Factory gate prices fell by 0.5% in March, according to figures from the Central Statistics Office. Wholesale prices fell by 7.1% in the year to March.
The index for export sales fell by 0.8% in March, while the home sales index rose by 0.6%.
Prices of building materials rose by 0.2% in the month, bringing the annual rate of increase to 1.3%. Prices of energy products were up 1.5% in the month and 6.6% on an annual basis. Petrol fuel prices jumped by 5.2% in the month and are now running 24% ahead of the same month last year.
But prices of radio, television and communication equipment dropped by 2.5% in March, while computer and chemical prices were also lower.
