Ryanair carried just over 1.4 million passengers in March, up 39% on the same month last year, according to figures from the airline this morning.
Ryanair's load factor fell slightly, however, from 79% to 78%. Load factor measures how many seats the airline has filled.
The number of seat sales sold through Ryanair's web site rose from 91% to 94%.
