BMI has launched two new routes to Alicante and Venice as part of its new summer schedule for 2003.
The routes will operate from Dublin, via BMI's hub in London Heathrow. The airline now operates services to 28 destinations in its own network, and to 47 destinations in total, in conjunction with bmi's codeshare partners.
The new services to Alicante and Venice are already on sale, with the first flights taking off on 12 April 2003. Fares will start from €154 one way to Alicante and from €137 one way to Venice.
BMI first entered the Irish marketplace in 1989 and in early January this year announced an increase of 17% in passenger numbers on the Dublin-London Heathrow route for the three month period October - December 2002, when compared with the same period in 2001.
Last week Ryanair announced four new scheduled flights from Dublin to Barcelona, Blackpool, Faro and Malaga. The airline also announced increased services from Dublin to Newcastle.
