British energy giant Innogy is considering moving into the Irish electricity market, after it has succesfully taken on Bord Gais in the gas sector.
Speaking on Morning Ireland Innogy's Richard Harper, said the electricity market was the next step under consideration.
Yesterday exploration company Ramco announced will sell its gas from the Seven Heads Field to British energy giant Innogy. Today's Irish Times reports Innogy will pay over €600m.
Innogy, is better known for its retail brand NPower, under which it sells electricity and gas to over seven million customers in Britain.
It will sell all the Seven Heads gas into the Irish wholesale and industrial market.
