Minister for Finance Charlie McCreevy insisted today that he had not mismanaged the public finances.
He also rejected the suggestion that he was responsible for the shortfall in income tax receipts and the return to Government borrowing.
But Mr McCreevy faced angry protests from students at the National College of Ireland when he turned up for an 'IFSC for Nice' meeting. The students were protesting about Government cutbacks.
