Heineken Ireland's sales have increased by 3% on last years figures, with most of the growth coming from its packaged Heineken and Coors Light brands.
The firm said the decline in the on-trade is being offset by strong growth in the off-trade, in a total beer market that has declined by 0.1% in the year. Stout sales have fallen by 4.6%, but lager volume growth is 3.6% stronger than last year.
The firm remains focussed on Heineken lager, and has strong marketing and sales campaigns in place for the rest of the year.
Padraic Liston, Heineken Ireland's managing director told OnBusiness, 'Although the overall beer market is falling, we are confident that Heineken can continue to grow market share over its rivals.'
