Cork based retailer Musgrave, which runs the Supervalu and Centra chains in Ireland, said this morning that it now holds shares representing 93.6% of British convenience store chain Budgens.
Musgrave's offer has now been declared wholly unconditional, and Musgrave will now proceed to secure complete ownership of Budgens.
Eoin McGettigan, who is a board member of both Musgrave and Budgens, will take up the full time position of executive chairman of Musgrave's UK operations.
