Building materials group CRH has announced spending of €394m on acquisitions and other developments in the first half of this year.
This figure - which covers 18 acquisitions and investments and two capital spending projects - does not include the EHL and US Aggregates deals already announced in May.
The main moves include the construction of a €2.4m concrete wall panel plant at its Belgard facility in Dublin and acquisitions in Poland, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
In the US, CRH's materials division spent €240m on 10 acquisitions and investments, while its distribution arm spent over €100m on three acquisitions.
