Elan executive chairman Donal Geaney received a pay package worth €1.5m last year, including a bonus of €365,000, according to the company's annual report for 2001.
The year covered by the bonus came before the dramatic slump in Elan's share price, that has seen the value of the company fall from €23 billion this time last year to just €1.5 billion today.
Elan vice-president Tom Lynch received a package worth €1.62m including a bonus of €836,000, however this was paid for the company's performance in the previous year.
Geaney's bonus dropped substantially in 2001 to €365,000, from €1.2m in 2000.
