Employment in private firms in the construction industry decreased by 4% in the 12 months between April 2001 and April 2002.
The monthly employment index decreased from 144.7 in April 2001 to 138.9 in 2002, the Central Statistics Office said today.
Employment decreased by 3.2% in the 12 months between March 2001 and March 2002, the CSO added.
