McCreevy still has more to do

'A lot done, more to do' - that was the Fianna Fail slogan during the election campaign. 'More to do' is the title of a new series of interviews in which RTE's Economics Editor George Lee tries to find out more about what more will be done to tackle the various issues facing this Government.

The most pressing challenge is the economy - with the rise in spending up by 40% in the 18 months before the election and a fall in income tax receipts. This could threaten Finance Minister Charlie's McCreevy's projected surplus for the end of the year.
