The Central Bank of Ireland has issued warnings about four firms operating as unauthorised investment business firms in Ireland.
One of the firms, Millennium Financial - which has already been warned off three times in Ireland - recently had its assets frozen by US financial authorities for defrauding investors.
The other firms named are: Clover International Advisors, Lloyds and Associates and International Consortium Growth Holdings which received a previous warning in March of last year.
A spokesman for the Central Bank said they had received more than 50 separate complaints from people approached by Millennium Financial.
The spokesman said the firms typically offer get rich quick share and investment schemes, which fail to deliver on their promises.
