Electrical appliance maker Glen Dimplex is moving into the Chinese market, having announced the establishment of a joint venture called Shenyang Dimplex Electronics.
The venture will make night storage heaters at a new manufacturing facility to be built in Shenyang. Glen Dimplex's partners are the Liaoning province's electricity company and Shenyang Huali Energy Equipment, which supplies electrical switch equipment to the power industry.
In a separate development, Glen Dimplex has acquired a 25% stake in NOBO Electro, a Norwegian electric heating company. NOBO has an annual turnover of £35m and employs 200 people.
