A Co Westmeath car components firm has put their workforce of 630 staff on short time.
IRALCO of Collinstown say they are entering negotiations with the ATGWU with regard to redundancies.
The company says the workforce will be on short time until August when a decision will be made on up to 150 lay-offs.
The firm says 150 job losses would be 'a worse case scenario.'
